Hydroxyapatite – Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2 – is a mineral in teeth. Together with other minerals, it makes enamel the hardest of human tissues.
Since 2014, more than 24,000 humans have been missing in the attempt to cross the Mediterranean Sea. Teeth are likely the last part of their bodies to dissolve.
